So other than deal with the scarce lighting in my room or practice, finish that beat I made just two seconds ago (which sounds like a keeper), or write musak I've been wasting my time away watching a wonderful site - HULU. With only a free registration you can have those marathons of old hit TV shows without even buying the collectors edition. It's all there. Thanks Hulu.
So, I haven't been watching that much, but when I do I try to keep with with Conan O'brien and man he's on fire! With his current news of leaving the show, which we'll get into in a second, his writers and him are pissed about the the fact that they got ass canned out of a great opportunity they ALL worked so hard to get at. so now they have a gung-ho/no holds barred attitude when they coined the NBC sucks jokes left and right along with "what the hell am I gonna do now?" bits. having numerous top celebrities pile in is nothing to be ashamed of and it shows that a good amount of people are pretty pissed and feel for Conan. I say top because just this week hes had Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarentino, who literally looked like one of the deamons in From Dusk Till Dawn, and last night Adam Sandler. What the hell is Conan gonna do now? I mean yeah he's smart, witty, whacky, but to say the least a writer and I think his prime spot where he could get away with that nerdy/out there humor you don't see anymore was on the tonight show. It's where he had most freedom.
The controversy is that Jay Leno is a putz. He can't get his normal veiwer rate or whatever and he probably pushed to get his slot back. Jay Leno worked hard. It's only logical to think that for a guy where hes at. Then again I could be completely off. You know the phrase, "who do I have to fuck to get..."?I think Jay Leno used that alot. Just by his attitude and swagger now, I just think hes a fucking prick. To fuck over a guy whos doing great at the tonight show, you know Leno had some say in that. I read an interview about him in Rolling Stone he said that hes a workaholic - he needs to be doing something. Instead of hanging around the house driving his wife crazy he'll ruin TV even more with his new crappy variety show, now with better flavor and no desk when he talks to his guest. Same writers, same network, different time slot, exhausted jokes. Of course his variety show bombs. What idiot up high on that NBC building didn't see that coming? He couldn't stand losing his true viewers whatever that means. RETIRE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DUMBASS. 7 monthsof a tonight show? But get this a tonight show that's actually doing really really good? There is personal written all over this. Jay can be funny with a live audience in front of him, Conan just has to show up to be funny. So to all of the 2 people who read this blog i just want to let you know that I'M WITH COCO.
